Emerge from the south Tunnel Portal.
On a very bright summer day a PCC emerges from the tunnel. The lime on the portal, the derail, signals, and switch gear all show up in this picture. It appears as though they installed a larger stopper than what was in place in 1946. The three aspect signals were part of the interlocking of the junction. The red, center, light stayed on as long as the derail was derailing. When a clear signal was received the yellow, bottom, light came on along with the red. Once the derail was pulled in red and yellow went out and the green, top, light came on; only then could the car proceed. The signal went back to red, and the derail reset, as soon as the car passed.
